The Granada City Council Employment and Entrepreneurship Area has participated as a partner of the Project “ArtENprise: Supporting Artists and Cultural Organizations in developing Entrepreneurial Skills“, coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce of Granada, within the Call ERASMUS + KA2, Strategic Partnerships for Education and Vocational Training, in partnership with Consorzio Industrie Materahub Culturale e Creativi (Italy); Chamber of Commerce of Granada (Spain); Inova Consultancy (United Kingdom); Cultural Cluster of the Creative Industry (Hungary), and Militos Consultancy (Greece).
ArtENprise has aimed to develop and implement the methodology of “Tutoring / Mentoring” as a tool for learning, qualification and acquisition of entrepreneurial skills for the development of creative and artistic activities in the field of local development.
For its part, the URBACT III-GEN-Y CITY project is a European exchange and learning program to promote sustainable urban development. The Gen-Y-CITY Project has aimed to develop new policies to attract and retain the talent of young entrepreneurial people, especially linked to innovative, creative and knowledge-based industries. Its main activities have been carried out between September 2015 and May 2018.
Both projects have coincided in several significant aspects:
- The youth of the target population of the actions. In the case of ArtENprise there was no age limit to be a beneficiary, but – in fact – the participating group has been mostly under 30 years old.
- The promotion of creative talent. In both projects it has been a priority objective.
- The vocation to act from the territory of local scope, adopting simultaneously a global perspective that pursued the transfer of knowledge and good practices in a transnational axis of several countries of the European Union.
For all these reasons, there have been established collaborative synergies between these projects. Worth mentioning, as shown, the inclusion of the ArtENprise project in the Integrated Action Plan of the Local Action Group of the Granada network, and the participation of artists and creators in the ArtENprise project in a dissemination video of the Gen-Y-City project.
